The 23-year-old native of Toronto totaled two goals and two assists in 40 games last season.
Blunden was originally selected in the second round, 43rd overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by Chicago and played in 10 games with the Blackhawks in the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons before being traded to Columbus in January, 2009.
